About Takayuki Yamamoto

Here is a picture of my students. I might look funny, but that’s okay because others look handsome and beautiful.

My name is Takayuki Yamamoto, and I am your trainer.

I was born and raised in Tottori, Japan, where my parents, brothers, and their families still live.

I am bilingual, in case you are wondering.

I live in Portland, OR, a beautiful city filled with greenery and water.

I love reading, writing, and, of course, working out.

Lately, I’ve been really focused on building human connections, and I wear a T-shirt and hoodie that says, “I Talk to Strangers.”

I believe human connection is one of the secret keys to health that few trainers talk about. But I do because I am weird and natural introvert.

Just as I need to practice exercising, eating, and relaxing, I also need to practice talking to people. It’s a skill.

As my clients, I will challenge you, but my training philosophy centers around safety. Your comfort is not my primary concern, but your safety is.

I enjoy participating in many events: CrossFit, powerlifting, Spartan Race, and long-distance running events.

I don’t push myself to the brink where my body breaks down.

No “beast mode,” and I take pride in this approach.

This website serves as your resource.

I post blogs frequently, so please explore and let me know if you can’t find the information you’re looking for.

I’ll be happy to do some digging and get back to you.

I look forward to working with you and seeing how I can help!
